|Lynn reads her creative nonfiction piece, "With All Due Respect"|
at the Launch Party for Watch My Rising: A Recovery Anthology.
Lynn comes from a newspaper family but first took up creative writing in 2006. She has said yes to almost every genre she's encountered so far.
Creative nonfiction gives her plenty of room to roam – through memories, into and around insights, and deep into family stories. Personal essays let her share her thoughts and experiences, in a non-rant kind of way. Fiction comes when characters appear who demand to speak and act. Poetry forms from images and sensations, mostly involving the critters and characters of Wyoming. Blog posts give her a chance to wrap her mind around the challenges of the writing life and share discoveries.
Lynn lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, hails from Niobrara County, and took a few detours over the years to Colorado, California, and Africa.
Luna says with her expressive eyes,
"Instead of writing, wouldn't you rather throw the tennis ball for me?"
This is what Lynn has to contend with every day.
